Augusto Giancola
SVP, Head of Operations
As the Head of Operations leader, Augusto designs, implements and manages Ascent DS’s operational infrastructure to deliver client-focused, cost-efficient and compliant services across the organization and throughout the life of the loan. He has over 25 years of experience spanning Operations, Human Capital, and Corporate functions in lending and business consulting. Most recently, he served as Head of Mortgage Operations at Dunmor Capital, overseeing mortgage operations processes and senior debt and third-party lending relationships. Prior to that, he spent 6 years at Genesis Capital, a Goldman Sachs subsidiary, as Senior Vice President in Document & Data Integrity and Capital Markets, Leverage Operations.
Augusto's extensive career includes 11 years at OneWest Bank, a CIT subsidiary, where he held roles such as Director of Human Resources Operations and Shared Services at CIT Group, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at OneWest Bank, and First Vice President at IndyMac Bank, with oversight for all on-shore and off-shore outsourced services. He began his career at IBM Global Services, gaining expertise in strategic outsourcing and creating Customer Relationship Management (CRM) service offerings.
Augusto holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Universidad Simón Bolívar in Caracas, Venezuela, and a Master of Science in Operations Research from the Sloan School of Business at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
